What we do
PETZ HOUSE sits at the intersection of healthcare, human services, and animal welfare, providing flexible support for pets whose owners are hospitalized, entering rehabilitation, escaping unsafe situations, or facing other life crises.
Two-person care teams support pets where they are most comfortable with food, fresh water, walks, enrichment, light grooming, and help maintaining the bond with their person.
Carefully vetted foster homes offer pets companionship and individualized attention while their people focus on safety, treatment, or recovery.
Safe, structured facility care will include daily feeding, exercise, enrichment, and attentive oversight until pets and their people can be reunited.
Who we help
A health emergency, unsafe home, or period of recovery should not force someone to surrender a cherished companion. PETZ HOUSE exists to preserve that bond.

Our story
PETZ HOUSE INC. was founded in rural Lake County by Kerri Allen, a social-work professional and experienced victim advocate who understands how practical barriers can keep people from seeking safety and care.
We are working toward communities where compassionate pet care is recognized as an essential support service that helps people access much-needed healthcare, safety, and recovery.
